General information:

1. What are the routes that The Vietage by Anantara operates?

The Vietage by Anantara operates daily from Da Nang to Quy Nhon and vice versa from Quy Nhon to Da Nang. Commencing 15 May 2024, we will launch a second luxury carriage connecting Nha Trang and Quy Nhon and vice versa. For the updated timetable for each route, please refer to our official schedule. Tickets for all journeys can be reserved from now.

2. How does The Vietage by Anantara operate and what is its average travel speed?

The Vietage by Anantara consists of two distinct railway carriages, each undertaking daily journeys in opposite directions. The first carriage departs in the morning from Da Nang to Quy Nhon, continuing on to Nha Trang. The second carriage departs from Nha Trang in the afternoon, traveling to Quy Nhon and then up to Da Nang. The average speed of The Vietage by Anantara is 51.9 kilometres per hour.

3. What can I expect to see outside during the journeys?

Each of the journeys takes you through the countryside of Central Vietnam with the chance to see rice paddies, lotus ponds, stunning mountain landscapes and striking coastal views. Our on-board Discovery Book gives more details on some of the sights you can see during your specific journey.

 4. What is the duration of the journeys between Da Nang and Quy Nhon, and between Nha Trang and Quy Nhon?

The journeys between Da Nang and Quy Nhon take approximately 6 hours each way. Similarly, the travel time for the journeys between Nha Trang and Quy Nhon is approximately 5 hours each way.

5. What is included in an overall ticket price aboard The Vietage by Anantara?

For the six-hour journeys between Da Nang and Quy Nhon, a pre-ordered three-course gourmet meal will be served. Complimentary snacks, free-flow selected wine, cocktails, mocktails, teas, coffee, and soft drinks are included, plus a 15-minute head and shoulder treatment.

For the five-hour journeys between Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, a luxury afternoon tea experience featuring local caviar, Vietnamese artisanal cheeses, a selection of premium Vietnamese teas from Epicurean Sao and a selection of cold cuts will be served. Complimentary snacks, free-flow selected wine, cocktails, mocktails, teas, coffee, and soft drinks are included, plus a 15-minute head and shoulder treatment.

6. What onboard facilities and amenities are available?

Our onboard facilities include a sit-up bar, a designated area for head and shoulder treatments, restroom facilities, six private booths with two comfortable seats per booth including power outlets, charging stations, amenity baskets featuring pillows, blankets and additional essentials, plus complimentary Wi-Fi, and a ‘Discovery Book’. Exclusively for the journey from Quy Nhon to Danang, sleeper booths are available, subject to availability.

7. Do you offer sleeper booths on board and which journey?

Complimentary sleeper booths are available only for the journey from Quy Nhon to Da Nang. Due to the regulations by the Railway Authority, each sleeper booth can accommodate one adult only.

8. Is the ticket price inclusive of the transfer service? Are transfer services available between resorts and railway stations?

The ticket price does not cover the cost of car transfers to and from train stations. Transfer services are available for guests staying at our resorts with an additional fee. For detailed information on rates and car transfer services, please contact us.

9. Are dietary restrictions accommodated?

Our menus are carefully-crafted to offer a diverse range of options, including meat, seafood, plant-based and vegetarian options. We kindly request that you notify us of any allergies or specific dietary requirements at the time of making your reservation.

10. Does The Vietage by Anantara operate year-round?

The Vietage by Anantara operates year-round, including public holidays, with the exception of the Lunar New Year month for scheduled annual maintenance. For precise timing of this period each year, please contact our team.

 11. Do I need to make reservations in advance for The Vietage by Anantara?

Yes, all seat reservations must be made in advance and at least 3 days prior to the desired departure date, subject to availability.

12. How do I reserve The Vietage by Anantara tickets or combination accommodation packages?

Both The Vietage by Anantara tickets and accommodation packages can be rerserved directly with us through the following channels:

13. Is the accommodation included in the ticket price?

No, The Vietage by Anantara ticket does not include accommodation. However, we do provide special combination rates that incorporate The Vietage by Anantara tickets along with accommodation options at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, Avani Quy Nhon Resort in Quy Nhon, or Anantara Hoi An Resort in Hoi An.

14. Can I reserve the long journey from Da Nang to Nha Trang or vice versa?

The Vietage by Anantara travels daily from Da Nang to Nha Trang and Nha Trang to Da Nang with a stop in Quy Nhon in each direction. Guests are recommended to book the short journeys between Da Nang – Quy Nhon and Nha Trang – Quy Nhon with a combination stay at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas for the ultimate luxury experience and better combination rates with accommodations. The long journeys between Da Nang and Nha Trang are limited and subject to availability and can only be reserved directly with our Reservations team via [email protected]

15. Is it possible for guests who are not staying Anantara resorts to purchase tickets for The Vietage by Anantara?

Absolutely, The Vietage by Anantara is open to all guests. However, some seats are exclusively pre-allocated for guests staying at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas and cannot be booked through The Vietage by Anantara website for tickets only, as this will require a combination with a 2-night stay at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas. In the event that the online system does not display any availability, please kindly contact us directly at [email protected], so that we may assist you with your preferred dates and secure your reservation.

 16. What is the Cancellation Policy of The Vietage by Anantara?

Cancellations of 60 days or more before departure date: no fee.

Cancellations of 22-59 days before departure date: 50% charge of the original price paid.

Cancellations of 21 days or less before departure date: 100% charge of the original price paid.

17. I booked the ticket online via the website, how do I pay and select my menu?

If you have booked your ticket online through the website, we will contact you via the provided email once the reservation has been processed for menu selections and payment.

Journey Details:

 18. On departure day, what time should I arrive at the station and how can I identify The Vietage by Anantara

On departure day, our team members will be at the station 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to welcome guests. Our hosts will be waiting with a sign displaying The Vietage by Anantara. No printed ticket is required, just provide your booking code and the team will assist you with check-in, luggage and boarding the carriage. Please arrive at the station approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time to avoid missing the train.

19. Is there a designated waiting area for The Vietage by Anantara guests at each train station?

Yes, our guests have access to a designated waiting area at each station. Additionally, our hosts will serve welcome drinks before departure to enhance your experience.

20. Can we get off at specific stops during the journey?

Throughout the journey, The Vietage by Anantara makes short stops at various stations. However, onboard guests are not permitted to disembark at any of these stops due to the limited timing.

21. Do you offer onboard entertainment?

Yes, The Vietage by Anantara provides onboard entertainment with engaging board games to enhance your travel experience.

Policies and Guidelines:

22. Is it permitted to bring my own food and drinks?

Unfortunately, no outside food or drinks are permitted. All your food and beverage needs will be catered to by our hosts.

23. What is your children’s policy?

Children of all ages are welcome aboard The Vietage by Anantara. Children under the age of 4 are complimentary when sharing a seat and meal with an adult. Only one child is allowed per paying adult. Children aged 4 years and above will be charged as an adult price.

24. Can I stow my luggage? What is the maximum amount of luggage allowed?

Upon arrival at the station, our hosts will assist in stowing your luggage. Each passenger is allowed to bring up to 2 pieces of luggage.

 25. Is a pet allowed on board?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on The Vietage by Anantara.

26. Is The Vietage by Anantara carriage open to passengers from other carriages?

No, The Vietage by Anantara carriage is a private area and passengers from other carriages are not permitted to access.

27. Is there a smoking area available onboard?

The Vietage by Anantara is a non-smoking railway carriage.

28. Is there any dress code or uniform policy required aboard?

There is no strict dress code. Smart casual clothing is recommended for a comfortable journey.
